New Delhi, June 19, 2026: “Twelve Years of Narendra Modi Government have witnessed a remarkable shift towards Women-Led Development and empowerment” Speaking on the occasion Shyam Jaju at Centre for NaMo Studies (CNMS) in collaboration with the Dr. Ambedkar International Centre, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, inaugurated the national twelve-seminar series “NaMo Viksit Bharat Samvad” on the birth anniversary of Maa Heeraben Modiji. The inaugural seminar, held at Dr Ambedkar International Centre, New Delhi focused on the two themes “Nari Shakti as the Foundation of Viksit Bharat” and “From Welfare to Women-Led Development.”
Principal Guest Shyam Jaju, BJP Senior Leader said Women today are not merely beneficiaries of government schemes but active participants and leaders in India’s development journey.”

Addressing the gathering Chaired, Justice Iqbal Ahmed Ansari said, “The progress of a nation depends upon the status and participation of its women. A developed India can only be built when women receive equal opportunities, dignity and a meaningful role in every sphere of national life. Women-led development is essential for realizing the vision of Viksit Bharat.”

Addressing the gathering, Chief Imam of All India Imam Organisation Maulana Dr. Imam Umer Ahmed Ilyasi ji said, “The empowerment of women is essential for the progress of families, communities and the nation. A strong and developed India can emerge only when women are given equal opportunities to contribute and lead in every field.”

Dr. Basant Goel, Chairman of Mission Sarvarth Seva Foundation as Guests of Honour, said that India has witnessed a historic shift from viewing women merely as beneficiaries of welfare schemes to recognizing them as active participants and leaders in the country’s development process.
DAIC Dr Swati S Mishra said, the journey from women-centric welfare to women-led development is one of the most significant transformations of New India.

Delivering the introductory remarks in both sessions, Prof. Jasim Mohammad, Founder and Chairman of the Centre for NaMo Studies, said, “NaMo Viksit Bharat Samvad is a national intellectual initiative aimed at examining the transformative changes witnessed in India during the last twelve years and creating a platform for meaningful academic and policy discussions on the vision of Viksit Bharat.”

Prof. Jasim Mohammad further added, “To the best of our knowledge, CNMS is the first NGO – think tank in the country to organize a dedicated twelve-seminar national series on the twelve years of the Narendra Modi Government. This initiative seeks to document achievements, encourage informed discussions and inspire greater public participation in the nation-building process.”

The session was also attended by Rajmata Ambica Annapurna Ji Kheer Bhawani attended as the Principal Guest, Smt. Kalpana Singh, Gram Pradhan of Sikanderpur Maachhua village in Aligarh, Prof. Divya Tanwar of Divye Foundation, Dr. Amna Mirza, Associate Professor, and Dr. Aparna Singh, Associate Professor at Banaras Hindu University, Dr Swati S Mishra Associate Professor DAIC, Ms Shruti Sakral Young Professional of DAIC who shared their views on women’s leadership, empowerment and nation-building.

The session was moderated by Jawaid Rahmani, Dr. Deeba ICSSR Post Doctoral Fellow and Dr. Amna Mirza. The vote of thanks in the first session was presented by Dr. Swati S Mishra a representative of the DAIC proposed the vote of thanks during the first session.
