According to the mention found in the Puranas, Akshayavat, famous as the center of spiritual power that provides all kinds of success, suffered the pain of defeat during the Mughal period and the British rule, but despite this, it remained intact and today is strengthening its identity in the whole world as the flag bearer of Sanatan Dharma.
