Jamia Millia Islamia’s Sarojini Naidu Centre for Women’s Studies Hosts Grand Subject Association Valedictory Ceremony for 2024-25 Session

Nai Dilli : The Sarojini Naidu Centre for Women’s Studies (SNCWS), Jamia Millia Islamia, celebrated 25 years of excellence with a vibrant Valedictory Ceremony for the 2024-25 session today. The event, held at the Multipurpose Hall, SNCWS, commenced at 12:30 P.M. and welcomed a diverse gathering of students, faculty, and distinguished guests.
The event was organised under the guidance of Prof. Mazhar Asif, Honorable Vice Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia and Prof. Md Mahtab Alam Rizvi, Registrar, Jamia Millia Islamia.
The ceremony began with a warm welcome address by Prof. Nishat Zaidi, Honorary Director, SNCWS, who highlighted the centre’s remarkable journey and its commitment to empowering women through education and research.
The event featured the official inauguration of the Annual Report 2024-25, marking the centre’s achievements and future aspirations.A key highlight was the prize distribution, recognizing outstanding student contributions throughout the year. Special awards were also presented to the volunteers in the category, “Beacon of Support” for their exemplary volunteering efforts, acknowledging their dedication to the centre’s mission.
Additionally, the office bearers of the Subject Association were honored for their leadership and service. Dr. Ambreen Jamali, Advisor, Subject Association was facilitated for her unwavering guidance and support throughout the year.
The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, delivered by Zoyba Chaudhary expressing gratitude to all participants, supporters, and the Jamia Millia Islamia community for their unwavering support to the Centre.
