Centre For NaMo Studies Invites for Paper on AI Education for AI Education Summit; Abstract Submission Deadline May 10, Registration Closes May 16
Centre for NaMo Studies in Collaboration with ICSSR & NCPUL, to Host AI Education Summit in New Delhi; Outreach Letters Sent to Universities Nationwide

New Delhi, May 5, 2026: The Centre for NaMo Studies (CNMS) has launched a nationwide outreach initiative inviting faculty members, researchers, and academicians to register for the upcoming AI Education Summit 2026, which will be held on May 23, 2026. As part of this effort, CNMS has formally written to Vice Chancellors and Principals of universities and colleges across the country, requesting them to nominate and encourage their faculty members to participate in the academic event.
The summit, being organised by CNMS in collaboration with the National Council for Promotion of Urdu Language (NCPUL) and supported by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), Ministry of Education, Government of India, aims to create a meaningful platform for dialogue on the role of Artificial Intelligence in education. Institutions have been urged to widely disseminate this information among their faculty and academic departments so that educators and researchers can benefit from this opportunity.
Highlighting the importance of faculty participation, CNMS Chairman Prof. Jasim Mohammad said, “Our focus is on building an academic movement around the responsible and meaningful use of Artificial Intelligence in education. Faculty members are at the heart of this transformation. Their participation will ensure that discussions are grounded in real classroom experiences, research insights, and policy needs.”
Prof Divya Rashmi Co Convenor of Summit said have emphasised that seats for the summit are limited, making early registration essential. Faculty members and researchers have been encouraged to complete their registration in time and also consider contributing through paper presentations and discussions. The last date for abstract submission has been set as May 10, 2026, while registrations will close on May 16, 2026.
Prof. Jasim Mohammad also underlined the relevance of the initiative in the context of national education priorities, stating, “At a time when the National Education Policy 2020 is encouraging innovation, multidisciplinary learning, and digital integration, it becomes important for educators to actively engage with emerging technologies like AI. This summit is an effort to bridge the gap between technology and pedagogy in a thoughtful and balanced way.”

Co Supporter of Summit Dr Deebq informed that a dedicated academic volume on AI for education, AI in Education will also be published as part of this initiative.

Research Associates of Summit Ms Tushita Bhandari expressed optimism that the response from academic institutions will continue to grow in the coming days, making the summit a vibrant platform for knowledge exchange, collaboration, and forward-looking discussions on the future of education in India.
