AMU Community College Conducts Workshop on Advanced Flat Bed Knitting Techniques

Nai Dilli : The Department of Fashion Design and Garment Technology, Community College, Aligarh Muslim University, organized a two-day hands-on training workshop titled “Advanced Design Techniques on Flat Bed Knitting Machine”. The event aimed to equip students with practical exposure to advanced machine knitting methods, thereby bridging academic concepts with real-world industry practices.
Mr. Awdesh Kumar, an experienced technical operator from Bagga Engineering Works, Punjab, served as the resource person. He provided in-depth training on design processes, machine handling, and innovative techniques used in flat bed knitting to enhance garment production and creativity.
The workshop was held under the patronage of Dr. Azhar Jameel, Nodal Officer, and was convened by Dr. Sheeba Kamal, Course Coordinator. The event was efficiently coordinated by Ms. Nazia Begum, whose efforts ensured the smooth conduct of the sessions.
Student representatives Tazyin Wares, Nikhat Malik, Henashadmeen, and Muskan contributed to the overall organization of the event, which was attended by B.Voc. and M.Voc. students of Fashion Design and Garment Technology.
