Centre for Narendra Modi Studies Commemorates Ratan Tata On His Birth Anniversary
New Delhi : The Centre for Narendra Modi Studies organized the inaugural “Ratan Tata: Bharat Ke Ratan” Memorial Lecture on on Ratan Naval Tata’s Birth Anniversary, at the India International Centre in New Delhi to commemorate the birth anniversary of Shri Ratan Tata. Dr. Kiran Bedi, IPS (Retd.), Former Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry, delivered an insightful keynote address.
Speaking on the legacy of Shri Ratan Tata, Dr. Kiran Bedi stated, “Ratan Tata was truly ‘Pooore Watan ka Ratan’—a priceless gem of India. She further added, “What truly set him apart was his humility and his dedication to serving the nation. Ratan Tata taught us that true leadership is about putting the welfare of others before oneself,”.

“It is truly commendable that CNMS has taken the initiative to honor Ratan Tata’s extraordinary contributions to India. Events like these inspire others to follow his path of excellence and service to the nation,” She said.
Kishor Makwana, Chairman of the National Commission for Scheduled Castes, Govt of India, praised Ratan Tata’s leadership. He said, “Ratan Tata’s legacy inspires every Indian. His honesty, kindness, and dedication to society have set a great example. Under his leadership, the Tata Group grew and helped the nation. His work will continue to inspire future generations.”
Prof. Jasim Mohammad, Chairman of CNMS delivered the inaugural address and extended a warm welcome to all the dignitaries. He announced that the Centre for Narendra Modi Studies (CNMS) will organize the Ratan Tata Memorial Lecture every year on his death anniversary to honor his values of humility, service, and nation-building.

A special souvenir, jute memorial bag, My Stamp which honours the legacy of Ratan Tata and the CNMS 2025 calendar were also unveiled by Dr. Kiran Bedi, Shri Kishor Makwana, Neeldaman Khatri, Dr. Basant Goel, Dr Jawaid Rahmani, Dr Amna Mirza, Dr Aayushi Ketkar and Prof Jasim Mohammad. The souvenir, “Ratan Naval Tata: The Great Son of Bharat” Edited by Dr Basant Goel & Dr Jasim Mohammad, includes messages from leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Ugandan President H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
The program was seamlessly moderated by Dr. Aayushi Ketkar, who ensured a well-coordinated event. However, Dr. Jawaid Rahmani presented the Annual Report of the CNMS. Following this, a video showcasing eight years of CNMS’s journey was displayed, captivating the audience with its remarkable achievements.
The event witnessed the presence of several distinguished personalities from diverse fields who spoke on the occasion, including Dr. Basant Goel, Shri Neeldaman Khatri, Dr. Aayushi Ketkar, Dr. Amna Mirza, Shri Anil Maheshwari, Smt. Priti Srivastava, Dr. Adish C. Aggarwala, Shri Firoz Bakht Ahmad, Dr. Renuka, and Mrs. Sunaina Agrawal.

The program began with the National Anthem, followed by the presentation of bouquets and a floral tribute to Shri Ratan Naval Tata. The event also observed a moment of silence to honor the passing of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, paying heartfelt respect to his remarkable legacy and contributions to the nation.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Secretary of CNMS Nikhat Parveen, who appreciated the participation of esteemed guests and attendees, followed by high tea and the distribution of the CNMS Calendar 2025.
