The solar installation significantly enhances the school’s infrastructure, ensuring uninterrupted power for essential facilities such as classrooms, hostels, labs, computers, and water systems. Its effectiveness was recently demonstrated during a three-day power outage in the area, when the school and hostels remained fully functional, providing a safe and comfortable environment for students.
The project was made possible with the approval of the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Naima Khatoon. The tireless efforts of Prof. Asfar Ali Khan and the cooperation of the Electricity and Building Departments were instrumental in its successful execution, said School Principal Prof. Naila Rashid.
Deep gratitude is extended to the Abr Foundation, especially Chairman Mr. Shehzad Alam, for their forward-looking support. This solar initiative stands as a beacon of resilience, sustainability, and progress—lighting the way for future generations of visually challenged students.
