KVIC Organizes People Education Program at Arunachal University of Studies

Namsai, AP Bureau: The University-Industry-Interlinkage-Centre (UILC) at Arunachal University of Studies (AUS), in collaboration with the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) under the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, successfully organized a one-day People Education Program (PEP) at AUS today. The program aimed to raise awareness about various employment generation opportunities available through KVIC schemes, including the Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP), SFURTI clusters, and rural industrialization initiatives.

Prof. Ajeya Jha, Vice-Chancellor of AUS, highlighted the significant impact of micro-entrepreneurship in strengthening economies both in India and globally. He emphasized, “KVIC has played a vital role in promoting entrepreneurship in villages, which has created numerous job opportunities across India.”

Prof. D. S. Hernwal, Rector of AUS, addressed the gathering, stating, “India is a land of entrepreneurs. It is crucial for our country to address the issue of unemployment, and programs like these play an essential role in finding sustainable solutions.”

Shri Amandeep Saini, a key speaker at the event, provided detailed insights into various KVIC schemes and initiatives that support budding entrepreneurs. He discussed the assistance provided through these schemes, encouraging participants to explore the opportunities available.

Shri Vipin Rawat, Deputy Registrar of AUS, extended his heartfelt gratitude to the KVIC team for their collaboration with AUS in implementing various skill and entrepreneurship development schemes. He expressed, “We are grateful for the support and partnership with KVIC, which has been instrumental in nurturing small and medium-scale entrepreneurs within our community.”

The seminar concluded with an interactive session, where attendees had the opportunity to engage with the experts and gain valuable information about the schemes and programs discussed.
