History Club Event Explores Global Academic Opportunities

Nai Dilli : The undergraduate club, Tarikh Yafta, at the Department of History, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), organized an enriching event, “Passport to Possibilities.”
In his presidential address, Prof. Hassan Imam, Chairperson of the Department of History, emphasized the importance of global academic exposure for young historians and encouraged students to actively pursue opportunities that broaden their intellectual and cultural horizons.
The guest speaker, Mr. Mohd Adnan Khan (AMU alumnus and English Language Assistant, Ministry of Education, Spain), shared his academic journey and opportunities abroad. His lecture was followed by an interactive Q&A.

Another guest speaker, Dr. Abdullah Al Mamun (Director, Nation Building Initiative, Turkey; PhD, Istanbul Medeniyet University), provided valuable guidance on international research, scholarships, and historical scholarship’s role in nation-building.
The session that inspired students with global academic perspectives and celebrated historical scholarship concluded with a vote of thanks by club coordinator Dr. Aneesa Iqbal. Nasir Hussain, a second year undergraduate student, conducted the programme.
Later, the club commemorated Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s anniversary with a documentary, “The Architect of Equality,” honouring his legacy.
