Education is the strongest tool for empowering Women : Prof. Sumita Dave PVC Amity University Raipur

 

 

Nai Dilli Bureau : Department of Education Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (GGV), Bilaspur in collaboration with the Centre for Narendra Modi Studies, Sponsered by ICSSR  organized a Two-Day National Seminar on Women Empowerment Efforts under Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji on August 5-6, 2025, at the university campus.

A highlight of the inaugural session was the release of the seminar souvenir and a book, showcasing research and discussions related to women empowerment initiatives under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji.

The seminar aims to bring together scholars, policymakers, and social leaders to deliberate on progressive policies, achievements, and future strategies for women empowerment in India.

Prof. Abhay S. Ranadive, Registrar, GGV said that this seminar is a platform to discuss these achievements, evaluate their impact, and explore innovative strategies to further strengthen women’s role in nation-building. Women empowerment is is a mission for a new India, and academic institutions like Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya have a vital role in taking this mission forward through research, dialogue, and action.”

Shri Anil Maheshwari, veteran journalist associated with the Centre for Narendra Modi Studies addressed the gathering and remarked, “Women empowerment is the soul of a progressive India, and under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi Ji, this vision has turned into reality through transformative policies and social reforms.”

Smt. Puja Vidhani, Mayor of Bilaspur Municipal Corporation, shared her views saying, “Empowered women create empowered societies, and the schemes launched in recent years have provided women with confidence, security, and opportunities to lead.”

Special Guest Prof. Sumita Dave, Pro Vice-Chancellor of Amity University, Raipur, emphasized the role of education in empowerment, stating, “Education is the strongest tool for empowering women. When coupled with digital literacy and skill development, it not only uplifts women but also accelerates the growth of the entire nation.”

Prof. Jasim Mohammed, Chairman of CNMS, expressed his views, stating, “The empowerment of women is is the foundation for building a stronger and inclusive nation. Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji, India has witnessed transformative steps in this direction—be it the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao movement, Ujjwala Yojana, or the increasing participation of women in governance and entrepreneurship,”.

Dignitaries were greeted with saplings, mementos, and shawls as a mark of respect and gratitude. Prof. Sambit Kumar Padhi, Head of the Department of Education and Nodal Officer, Centre for Narendra Modi Studies (CNMS), GGV, delivered the welcome address and provided an overview of the seminar theme and objectives. The event commenced with lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by Saraswati Vandana and the University Kulgeet, creating an atmosphere of reverence and cultural pride.

The inaugural session concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Jyoti Verma, Organising Secretary, followed by the National Anthem.
