Dental Health Camp Held at AMU’s Ahmadi School for the Visually Challenged

Nai Dilli : The Department of Periodontia and Community Dentistry, Dr. Z.A. Dental College and Hospital, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), organized a dental health camp at Ahmadi School for the Visually Challenged, in observance of World Day for Safety and Health at Work. The camp aimed to highlight the critical role of oral health in overall well-being.
A team comprising junior residents and interns, under the supervision of Dr. Pramod Kumar Yadav and Dr. Syed Amaan Ali, conducted oral examinations for 70 students and distributed toothpaste. Students identified with dental issues were referred to Dr. Z.A. Dental College and Hospital for further treatment.

Dr. Neha Agrawal, Chairperson of the Department, stated, “Providing treatment to visually challenged children is our priority.”
The initiative was supported by Dr. Naila Rashid, Principal of Ahmadi School, and Prof. R.K. Tiwari, Principal of Dr. Z.A. Dental College, both of whom reiterated their commitment to student welfare and community outreach.
