B.Voc Freshers’ Party at Celebrates Creativity, Camaraderie, and New Beginnings

Nai Dilli : The IV Semester students of B.Voc (Fashion Design and Garment Technology), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), hosted a Freshers’ Party to welcome the new entrants of the I Semester. The event was a lively celebration of talent, connection, and artistic expression.
The programme commenced with a badge ceremony and welcome gestures, setting a tone of inclusivity and excitement. Principal University Polytechnic, Dr. Azhar Jameel, the Nodal Officer, inaugurated the event and emphasized on the importance of practical skills and personality development in shaping successful careers. Dr. Sheeba Kamal, Course Coordinator, spoke about the special bond between teachers and students, calling it the invisible thread that weaves knowledge with care.
The celebration featured an array of cultural performances, an engaging ramp walk, and interactive games that allowed the freshers to showcase their confidence and creativity. A highlight of the evening was a specially produced welcome video, offering glimpses of campus life and welcoming messages from seniors.
The panel of judges, comprising faculty members Ms. Nazia Begum, Ms. Nimra Khan, Mrs. Farha, and Ms. Shagufta Haseen, honoured the standout participants of the evening: Miss Uneza Ansari was crowned Miss Freshers 2025, Miss Tahreem Ansari received the title of Miss Evening, and Miss Shreya Sharma was recognized as Miss Theme. The Games Winners title was jointly awarded to Miss Hina Nasir and Miss Shreya Sharma.
The event was coordinated by Miss Nikhat Faiyaz Malik, anchored by Samra Khan, and concluded with a vote of thanks by Miss Raida Zafar.
More than just an event, the Freshers’ Party embodied a celebration of new friendships, shared aspirations, and the vibrant spirit of AMU.
