AMUHACKS 4.0: A Weeklong Tech Showcase of Innovation and Excellence at AMU

Nai Dilli : The Computer Science Society (CSS), Department of Computer Science, Aligarh Muslim University, hosted its flagship annual technical event, AMUHACKS 4.0, from April 12 to 17. The event brought together innovation, collaboration, and competitive spirit, offering a dynamic platform for budding technologists to transform ideas into impactful solutions.
Organized entirely by students, AMUHACKS 4.0 provided them with invaluable hands-on experience in management, planning, and team coordination, while immersing participants in a future-forward tech ecosystem.
The event featured multiple competitions including a Software Hackathon, Coding Contest, Quiz Competition, and the exciting cybersecurity challenge, Capture the Flag. Over 500 teams registered for the Hackathon, with institutions such as IIT Roorkee, Jamia Hamdard, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, IGDTUW, Graphic Era, and VIT Chennai making it a pan-India tech conclave.
Team CareConnect from VIT Chennai won the top prize for their AI-driven healthcare platform connecting patients, doctors, and hospitals through machine learning-based diagnostics. BudgetIQ from Christ University secured the second position with their intelligent personal finance assistant, and Dyslexi AI from RV College of Engineering, Bengaluru, took third place for developing an inclusive tool for individuals with dyslexia.
The Coding Competition on HackerRank tested problem-solving skills of AMU students. Md. Nadim Uddin (B.Tech, 3rd Year) and Misbahur Rahman (B.Sc.

Hons., 2nd Year) emerged as top scorers. The Quiz Competition, with over 40 participants, blended technical trivia with Sci-Fi themes. Team Brain.exe (MCA 1st Year) comprising Mr. Subham Kumar Singh, Ms. Adeeba Zakir, and Ms. Sadaf Fatima, won the contest, while Team Dummy (MSc Cyber Security and Digital Forensics 1st Year) came second.

The Felicitation Ceremony, held on April 19, celebrated all participants and contributors. Prof. Arman Rasool Faridi, Chairperson, Department of Computer Science, praised the enthusiasm of the student organizers and acknowledged the role of sponsors Image Classes and Engineering and Environmental Solutions Pvt. Ltd. He also commended Dr. Mohammad Nadeem, Coordinator of AMUHACKS 4.0, for his leadership and dedication.
Special appreciation was paid to Dr. Sehba Masood for leading the Coding Competition and Dr. Faisal Anwer for crafting an engaging quiz experience.
AMUHACKS 4.0 concluded on a high note, leaving behind a trail of innovation, inspiration, and institutional pride—setting the stage for even more impactful editions in the years to come.
