AMU Successfully Conducts B.Tech and BALLB Entrance Exams Across Seven Cities

Nai Dilli : A total of 13,639 candidates out of 15,821 applicants appeared for the entrance test for admission to the B.Tech/B.Arch courses at Aligarh Muslim University. The examination was held in the morning shift today across seven cities in the country—Aligarh, New Delhi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Patna, Srinagar, and Kozhikode. At the Aligarh centre alone, 6,896 candidates wrote the test for engineering courses.
The University also conducted the entrance test for admission to the BALLB programme from 3 pm to 5 pm. A total of 6,291 candidates had applied for this test, which was held at centres in the same seven cities.
AMU Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Naima Khatoon, along with the Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof M. Mohsin Khan, Proctor, Prof. M. Wasim Ali, and his team, visited several test centres during the morning shift, including the Women’s College, and Chemistry, Botany, Geology and Commerce departments.
Later in the afternoon, the Pro-Vice Chancellor, Prof. M. Mohsin Khan, accompanied by the Proctor and his team, visited other centres such as A.K. Tibbiya College, Senior Secondary School (Girls), AMU Girls’ School, and Univesity Polytechnic (Boys).
Dr. Mujib Ullah Zuberi, Controller of Examinations, expressed his gratitude to the district administration for their support in managing the large number of candidates and accompanying guardians. He also thanked the faculty members and other university staff for conducting the tests in a peaceful and orderly manner.
Senior AMU teachers were deputed as observers at the test centres in Aligarh and served as overall incharges at centres outside the city. Dr. Zuberi also appreciated the Proctorial team’s role in coordinating with Centre Superintendents to ensure a free and fair examination process.
Additionally, NSS volunteers and AMU administrative staff organized assistance camps for candidates and their parents, providing cold drinking water and shelter from the intense sunlight.
