ALF launches publishing initiative, invites manuscripts from young authors

The Aligarh Literature Festival (ALF) has launched its publishing division, ALF Publications, following the completion of its registration as a book publisher with ISBN facilities approved by the Raja Rammohun Roy National Agency for ISBN under the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education.
The initiative seeks to provide a platform for emerging writers by inviting manuscripts from young and aspiring authors across the country. Selected works will be published under the ALF Publications imprint.
Managing Trustee of the Aligarh Literature Festival, Prof. Jasim Mohammad, said the initiative was intended to encourage new literary voices and contribute to India’s reading and writing culture by providing a credible publishing platform for first-time and emerging authors.
Prof Jasim said books selected through the initiative would also be presented during the next edition of the Aligarh Literature Festival, scheduled to be held in December 2026 at Aligarh Uttar Pradesh. The festival will include book discussions, author interactions and literary sessions, providing writers with an opportunity to engage with readers and members of the literary community.
According to the Dr Daulat Ram, interested authors may submit a brief profile, the proposed title or concept of their book, and manuscript details for consideration. Submissions may be sent to publicationalf@gmail.com and aligarhlitfestival@gmail.com
ALF Trustee Jawaid Rahmani said the publishing initiative forms part of the festival’s broader objective of promoting literature, encouraging meaningful literary dialogue and creating opportunities for emerging writers.
The Aligarh Literature Festival is a literary and cultural initiative that aims to promote literature, languages, culture and intellectual exchange by bringing together writers, scholars, artists and readers on a common platform.
