Jamia Hamdard Organised 3 Days National Conference Cum Workshop

New Delhi ( Savita Yogi) : The Department of Biotechnology, School of Chemical and Life Sciences, Jamia Hamdard Inaugurated Three Days National Conference cum Workshop on “Sustainable Biotech Solutions for Global Challenges” today at Convention Centre, Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi. The aim of the conference is to bring together eminent scientists, academicians, policymakers, and industry experts to discuss advancements in biotechnology, sustainable agriculture, healthcare, and environmental science.
The Chief Guest, Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Chairperson, Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board (ASRB), Department of Agricultural Research and Education, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Government of India, delivered the Plenary Address, highlighting the critical role of biotechnology in addressing global challenges and the importance of academia-industry collaboration for sustainable solutions to agriculture, health and environment.
Vice Chancellor of Jamia Hamdard, Prof. M. Afshar Alam, in his Presidential Remarks, emphasized the university’s commitment to scientific research and innovation, stating that biotechnology holds the key to transforming healthcare, agriculture, and environmental sustainability.
With plenary sessions, technical discussions, and industry interactions scheduled over the next three days, the conference aims to foster scientific dialogue and promote biotechnological solutions to pressing global issues related to sustainable agriculture, healthcare and environment.
The inaugural session featured a Welcome Address by Prof. Suhel Parvez, Dean, School of Chemical & Life Sciences, followed by introductory remarks from Prof. M. Z. Abdin and Dr. Humaira Farooqi. The session concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Prof. S. Raisuddin, Dean Academics, Jamia Hamdard.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from distinguished researchers, industry professionals, and students from across India and Supported by Registrar Dr. M. A. Sikandar, Deans of Schools, Faculty Members, and Researchers of Jamia Hamdard.
