IFHFI Successfully Hosts “Harmony Dialogue Session – I” in New Delhi

Nai Dilli : The Inter Faith Harmony Foundation of India (IFHFI) successfully organised its much-anticipated “Harmony Dialogue Session – I” at the Harmony Secretariat, Meena Bagh, New Delhi.

The session, centred on the theme “Inter Faith Dialogue for Peace, Harmony, and a United Society,” witnessed insightful deliberations and constructive discussions aimed at strengthening mutual understanding among diverse communities.

Prof. Alok Kumar Chakrawal, Vice Chancellor of Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya Bilaspur Chhattisgarh, delivered the keynote address, where he emphasised that dialogue is the foundation of coexistence. He highlighted the role of educational institutions in promoting values of inclusivity, tolerance, and respect, stating that universities must act as spaces where diversity is celebrated and understood.

Presiding over the session, Dr Khwaja Iftikhar Ahmed, Founder and President of IFHFI, underlined the urgency of promoting interfaith understanding in contemporary times. He stated that interfaith dialogue is not merely a discussion, but a responsibility towards building trust and bridging divides. He further stressed that sustained engagement between communities can help counter misinformation and promote a shared sense of belonging.

The programme concluded on a hopeful note, with a collective call to continue such dialogues and strengthen platforms that encourage mutual respect and cooperation. Participants appreciated IFHFI’s initiative in creating a space for meaningful conversation and reaffirmed their commitment to promoting peace and unity in society.

Legal Head of the IFHFI Fauzan Ahmad Khwaja delivered the vote of thanks, stating that such meaningful dialogues are essential in today’s time to strengthen mutual respect and understanding among different communities. He expressed gratitude to the distinguished speakers, participants, and organisers for their valuable contributions, and emphasised that initiatives like these pave the way for a more peaceful, inclusive, and united society.

The programme was moderated by Dr Deeba Niyazi, who skilfully guided the discussion, ensuring a balanced and engaging dialogue among participants. The Harmony Dialogue concluded with a collective resolve to carry the message of interfaith harmony and ethical coexistence to every corner of the country.
