AUS and IIA Host Business Conference & Arunachal Investors’ Summit; 16 MoUs Signed to Strengthen Regional Growth
NAI DILLI : The Indian Industries Association (IIA), in collaboration with Arunachal University of Studies (AUS), successfully organized the Business Conference and Arunachal Investors’ Summit today at the AUS campus in Namsai.
The Summit was inaugurated by Shri Pasang Dorjee Sona, Hon’ble Education Minister, Arunachal Pradesh; Shri Chau Zingnu Namchoom, Hon’ble MLA, Namsai; Shri Wanglin Lowangdong, Former Speaker of the Legislative Assembly and MLA Tirap; Dr. Ashwani Lochan, Chairman of AUS; rof. Ajeya Jha, Vice-Chancellor, AUS; Shri Dinesh Goyal, President of the Indian Industries Association and, Shri Alok Agarwal, Senior Vice President of the Indian Industries Association.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Pasang Dorjee Sona expressed gratitude to the business community for coming forward to explore opportunities in Arunachal Pradesh. He assured that the government is ready to welcome industrialists and facilitate their initiatives. Shri Chau Zingnu Namchoom commended AUS for organizing the Summit, noting that it would serve as a valuable platform for entrepreneurs to understand the business potential in the state. Shri Wanglin Lowangdong highlighted the vast natural resources of Arunachal Pradesh, emphasizing the immense opportunities they present for industrial growth.
The event witnessed active participation from businessmen across Namsai, Tinsukia, and adjoining districts of Assam. A major highlight was the signing of sixteen (16) MoUs between the University-Industry Interlinkage Centre (UILC), AUS, and member industries of IIA, marking a significant step towards collaborative growth, industry-academia partnership and investment in the State of Arunachal Pradesh. 52 industries form Arunachal Pradesh and Assam have also participated in the Summit.
Recognizing his outstanding contribution to the educational landscape of North East India, the Indian Industries Association announced the appointment of Dr. Ashwani Lochan as President of the Arunachal Pradesh Chapter of IIA.
The summit also witnessed three Plenary Sessions on the themes of “Catalysing India’s Educational Transformation: Industry-Academia Synergy for Employability, Sustainable Growth, and Leadership Excellence”; “From Potential to Profit: Investor Pathways in the North East”; and “Financing Sustainable Rural Enterprises in the North East: Catalysing Pathways for Inclusive Growth, Employability and Investment.”

Reaffirming its vision, AUS pledged to continue serving as a bridge between investors and entrepreneurs of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and the North East, fostering innovation, opportunity, and sustainable development.
This landmark initiative is expected to strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem of the region and open new avenues for investment and industrial progress.
