ALIGARH BUREAU: The College of Nursing, Aligarh Muslim University, organized an interactive session aimed at enhancing the quality of nursing education in clinical settings. The event was held under the supervision of the Principal, Prof. Farha Azmi, and brought together members of the nursing fraternity for discussions on evidence-based practices and quality assurance in nursing.

Welcoming the guests, the principal of the college, Prof. Farha Azmi shared her journey in advancing facilities in the college, highlighting her efforts in securing recognition and increasing student intake from 20 to 60 seats. She emphasized the importance of continuous skill development in nursing education.

Addressing the gathering, the chief guest, Prof. Habib Raza, Dean, Faculty of Medicine, and Principal and CMS, JN Medical College, encouraged the nursing community to strive for excellence and suggested initiating M.Sc. and Ph.D. programs in nursing in the near future.

The guest of honour, Prof. Saadiya Saeed from the Department of Forensic Medicine spoke about the vital role of nurses in healthcare, emphasizing that nursing is the backbone of every medical institution and must uphold high professional standards.

Another guest of honour, Prof. Najam Khalique from the Department of Community Medicine urged students to work diligently to maximize their potential and contribute effectively to patient care.

The session underscored the significance of quality nursing practices in clinical areas, providing a platform for nursing personnel, including Assistant Nursing Superintendents, Ward Incharges, nursing educators, and students, to share their experiences and insights.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Mahvish Masih, General Tutor.
